Barcelona confident of returning to Camp Nou for this La Liga encounter | OneFootball

There has been a lot of back and forth today, as far as Barcelona’s stadiums are concerned.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Barcelona have been informed they would not be able to host Real Sociedad at Montjuic.

This was followed by reports of Barça not ruling out returning to Camp Nou for the Sociedad game, although everything now suggests that the game will be hosted at Estadi Johan Cruyff.

Barcelona expect to return to Camp Nou vs Girona

Keeping that in mind, Barcelona do not want to offer an exact return date for Camp Nou, knowing they have already missed quite a few deadlines, reports MARCA.

However, the Catalans are hopeful they can return to the iconic stadium by the time they meet local rival Girona.

This comes on the back of recent developments surrounding the Camp Nou Phase I project, with the club recently sharing a host of pictures and videos.

The media team showcased the works that have progressed smoothly and at a fast rate, which makes the club confident that they can return to the stadium at the start of October.

The Blaugrana are slated to play against Girona at home on October 18, meaning between now and then, Barça will play five more matches before they can return to Camp Nou.

Before the Girona game, the Catalans’ last home game is against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on October 1, but that will take place at Montjuic.

On the bright side, though, this will give Barcelona ample time to further enhance the facilities in and around Camp Nou and move a step closer towards normality.
