Barcelona are in the market for multiple players this summer, with the likes of Julian Alvarez being closely linked with a move to the Camp Nou.
However, apart from signing a top striker, Barcelona are also keen on shoring up their ranks in the left-back unit, especially amid Alejandro Balde’s inconsistent form.
While Joao Cancelo is expected to sign a permanent deal, Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Juventus fullback Andrea Cambiaso.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Cambiaso is not currently being considered as a potential reinforcement by Barcelona’s sporting management, despite widespread reports.
The 26-year-old Italian international holds a contract with Juventus until 2029 and carries a release clause of around €50 million, having joined from Genoa for €15.5 million in 2022.
This is not the first time his name has been connected with Barcelona, having surfaced in similar reports back in March, but on both occasions the club’s position has been the same.

Barcelona’s clear preference for the left flank is Joao Cancelo, whose loan from Al-Hilal expires on June 30.
The club intend to sign the 32-year-old Portuguese international permanently, and with one year remaining on his Saudi contract, negotiations are ongoing.
Another left-back name that has since fallen away is Nathaniel Brown of Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 22-year-old German has attracted serious interest from both Arsenal and Bayern Munich, with the Gunners reported to hold the advantage, effectively ending any Barcelona involvement in that particular race.
