FC Barcelona have moved rather quickly after the end of the 2025-26 season. The 2026 summer transfer window is yet to begin, but the Blaugranes have already ensured a key addition to their squad for the next season as they have officially announced the signing of the English winger Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
This haste and speed is expected to be seen from the Catalans going forward as well. Still, Mundo Deportivo claims that their transfer activity is not going to end any time soon, and Deco is set to have quite a long summer.
Barcelona are working to wrap up their priority operations before the World Cup 2026 starts on 11th June. But beyond that, their incoming moves in the market would depend on exits, and the club understands some of these operations can take quite some time.
The Catalans had already been planning and working on their priority signings for some time now, albeit with a lot of discretion, which was quite apparent in the way they got Gordon.
But some moves would require departures of some of their current players, and Jules Kounde, Alejandro Balde, Marc Casado, and Roony Bardghji are a few of their players currently linked with exits. If any of these players leave, the Blaugranes would work to replace them from the market.
Thus, the Catalan club is set to remain linked with a lot of moves before the 2026 summer transfer window closes, and Deco will have a lot of work on his hands to ensure Hansi Flick gets the team required to win the UCL next season.
