Wojciech Szczesny has been one of Barcelona’s top performers since the turn of the year.
After enduring a slow start to his life in Catalonia, Szczesny has become an integral figure in the Barcelona defence, with his brilliant performances week in and week out being a reason why the Catalans have dominated in 2025.
As a matter of fact, Szczesny is yet to lose a single game as a Barcelona player, which speaks volumes about his impact on the team.
While opposition attackers have found it difficult to get past Szczesny in goal, the Pole faces a tough time in training at Ciutat Esportiva.
In a recent interview with ESPN, Szczesny has revealed the names of three Barcelona players who trouble him in training every day.
Surprisingly, the former Arsenal goalkeeper did not name a single Barcelona attacker among the three. In fact, all of the players he chose were defenders.

The three players in question are ‘Pau Cubarsi, Ronald Araujo and Inigo Martinez‘ as pointed out by the goalkeeper himself.
Szczesny explained that these three players trouble him the most during training. The goalkeeper, though, went on to talk about some of his other Barcelona teammates, including his close friend Robert Lewandowski.
“Barça have good players,” he said. “I’m not going to say Lewandowski because he would feel too good about it.”
Szczesny revealed three more names he rates highly due to their technical quality: “Lamine Yamal, Pablo Torre, and Dani Olmo.”
Nevertheless, Szczesny’s picks were quite interesting, but it must be remembered that the likes of Cubarsi and Martinez have played a key role in helping the Pole retain his near-perfect tally at Barcelona so far.
However, with Martinez picking up a recent injury, the onus will be on Araujo to step up his game and make sure Szczesny’s goal remains unscathed in the weeks to come.
