Barcelona head into Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid with a major boost. 

According to a report from AS, Lamine Yamal is now 100% ready and available for the showdown, easing any remaining doubts around his physical condition. 

Within the club, there is growing confidence that the teenager can play a decisive role, just as he did in last season’s final against the same opponent.

Yamal’s readiness did not come by accident. His absence from the starting XI in the semi-final against Athletic Club raised questions, but the decision was carefully planned. 

The winger had missed several training sessions in the build-up to that match, and Hansi Flick chose caution over risk. 

The coach felt Yamal was not yet in the ideal condition to cope with the physical demands of starting the game, especially with the intensity required in a knockout tie.

That call is now paying off. With the final approaching, Barcelona believe Yamal has recovered fully and is ready to handle the responsibility.

There is a hope that he can once again be a difference-maker against Real Madrid.

This final also carries personal significance for Yamal, as despite his immense talent, the young forward has not always shone in the biggest matches this season, such as against PSG, Real Madrid and Chelsea. 

Those performances have not gone unnoticed, and the Super Cup final represents the perfect stage for a response.

Barcelona see this as a defining moment for the number 10. The club believes that big games are where elite players announce themselves, and Yamal now has the opportunity to show that he belongs in that category. 

As such, preparation will be key. Yamal will have three full training sessions before the final, a time that both player and staff see as crucial.
