After having completed two signings, those of Anthony Gordon and Hamza Abdelkarim, FC Barcelona are now also working on several departures from their team. In fact, they have already completed one desired sale, i.e., that of the goalkeeper Inaki Pena, who joined the Greek side Panathinaikos for €3 million.

Other players that the Catalans are currently looking to move forward include two more goalkeepers. One of these is Diego Kochen, who is close to finalizing his loan to the Danish side FC Copenhagen, and the other is Marc-Andre ter Stegen, whose departure is seemingly going to be more complicated. The midfielder Marc Casado is another player for whom the Blaugranes are looking for a new club.

Meanwhile, another operation that they have reportedly been close to completing for the last several days is that of the forward Ansu Fati. After having regained a good physical level and his good form, he is set to stay in Ligue 1, as AS Monaco has decided to exercise his purchase option. This operation is expected to be completed any day now, as the option will expire at the end of this month.

It remains to be seen when this move will be announced officially. But for now, MARCA reports the several rights that Barcelona would be keeping on the player even after he leaves the club. One of these would be the right of first refusal, which would allow the Catalan club to remain in control of the forward’s future, and if they want, get him by matching another offer.

Similarly, they also would be keeping 30% rights to income from any future sale of the player. Thus, the Blaugranes would stand to gain whether they bring the player back or he decides to join another club in the future.

On the other hand, contrary to some other reports, Barcelona would not keep a €28 million buyback option on Ansu Fati.
