FC Barcelona’s preparations for the new season are almost fully scheduled, with Hansi Flick’s side adding another friendly to an already busy preseason programme.
Alongside matches against CE Europa and Birmingham City, the Catalan club are now set to take part in a triangular tournament featuring Udinese and Nottingham Forest, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The Barcelona first team will return to work on 13 July at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in Sant Joan Despi, where players will undergo the traditional medical examinations and physical fitness tests before beginning preseason training.
After approximately two weeks of work at the training complex, Barcelona will play their first friendly of the summer against CE Europa on 24 July, with the match taking place behind closed doors at the club’s training facilities.

The club has received proposals to play friendlies in Rabat (Morocco) and Nairobi (Kenya) Neither fixture has been confirmed at this stage.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are also expected to play another behind-closed-doors friendly during their training camp in England. Among the clubs being considered as opponents are Watford and Stoke City.
Barcelona’s pre-season will conclude with the traditional Joan Gamper Trophy, scheduled for 19 August.
However, the opponent has not yet been officially confirmed. One of the clubs linked with the fixture is Al Ahly of Egypt, although no final agreement has been announced.
