After a successful spell at Manchester City, Bernardo Silva is expected to embark on a new adventure elsewhere, with La Liga seen as the likely destination.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have emerged as the two potential suitors for Silva, but Barcelona have the upper hand as the player himself has admitted that the Catalans are one of his options.
However, Real Madrid, too, could potentially join the race.

According to Diario AS, Jose Mourinho has placed Bernardo Silva on his list of preferred signings for Real Madrid.
It must be noted that Silva was first offered to Real Madrid earlier this year, but at the time, the club’s directors and coaching staff rejected the approach.
Mourinho was not yet part of Real Madrid’s plans at that point. Now that he is set to take charge from Monday, the landscape has changed entirely.

Jorge Mendes, who represents Silva, has restored his working relationship with Real Madrid following a period of distance, and Mourinho’s arrival strengthens that connection further.
Mendes now operates comfortably across Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid simultaneously, giving him enormous leverage in determining where his client ends up.
What had appeared to be a straightforward resolution is now anything but. The report suggests Silva and Mendes have decided to pause the process, with Real Madrid’s potential re-entry into the race understood to be a significant factor in that delay.
Barcelona remain optimistic and continue to maintain that Silva’s future lies at the Camp Nou. But as things stand, the race could be wide open as Silva looks to take the next step in his career.
