Barcelona training update: Key duo complete session, winger works away from squad | OneFootball

FC Barcelona were back in training today after their 3-1 win over Real Oviedo away from home on Thursday night in La Liga.

With the next match against Real Sociedad only a couple of days away, there is no time to relax, and the Catalans continued their preparations for the visit of the Basque club.

Lamine, Balde train with group; Raphinha works inside the gym

Now, according to Carlos Monfort of SPORT, key Barcelona duo Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde participated in the group training and completed the full session.

This comes as a major boost for the Blaugrana, considering that the La Masia pair has not played a single game this month.

The idea is for them to return to the squad for the weekend game against Real Sociedad and their training and completing the session with the group today bodes well for Hansi Flick & co.

However, there was some bad news as well, as Raphinha did not work with the rest of the group today and instead trained individually inside the gym.

This comes after the Brazilian international had to be taken off against Real Oviedo in the 66th minute due to hamstring discomfort.

The issue is not understood to be a serious one, but Barcelona will exercise caution with the winger, especially given the number of injury blows that they have had to deal with in recent weeks.

Given the crucial PSG game not far away, there may be a possibility that Flick decides to rest Raphinha against Sociedad on Sunday.
