Barcelona have unveiled their 2026-2027 home kit and a new European typeface, both paying tribute to Catalan modernism. The design is a touch more original than recent editions.

The launch took place on Tuesday at MACBA, Barcelona’s contemporary art museum popular with skateboarders. According to L'Équipe, the shirt again puts the Catalan club’s identity to the fore.

The jersey keeps the traditional vertical stripes in the club colours, featuring a reworked blue that recalls the 2022-2023 shirt. A gradient adds movement and depth while remaining faithful to the club’s look.

The club also revealed a new name and number style for European fixtures, titled FC Barcelone moderniste. It is intended to strengthen the link between the team’s visual identity and Catalonia’s cultural heritage.

The typography draws inspiration from Catalan modernism, described as one of the region’s most important creative movements.
