Barcelona wonderkid announces his return after four matches out – ‘Hey! I’m back’ | OneFootball

In a welcome boost, Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal has seemingly announced his return to fitness after missing a string of matches this month.

The 18-year-old winger, who came second in the 2025 Ballon d’Or race, has not played for Barça since the international break due to pubic discomfort.

Lamine has had to miss the matches against Valencia, Newcastle United, Getafe, and Real Oviedo. Despite his absence, Barcelona have found a way to keep their momentum going, winning each of the four games.

As for Lamine, the expectation was that he could receive his medical green light in time for Sunday’s La Liga game against Real Sociedad. And, it appears that he is on track to return against the Basque club.

“Hey! I’m back,” Lamine wrote in his Instagram story along with a video of some of his best moments in La Liga.

Lamine began working with the ball on the pitch this week, although away from the rest of the group. And it appears that he is now ready to rejoin the squad in training.

The idea is for the 18-year-old sensation to get some minutes this weekend against Real Sociedad so that he can build some rhythm and match-fitness heading into the big game vs PSG next week.

As mentioned earlier, Barcelona have found ways to keep winning despite Lamine’s absence. Players like Marcus Rashford, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Robert Lewandowski have all stepped up in a big way.

But the 2025 Kopa Trophy winner’s imminent return is a big boost for Barcelona ahead of some important matches.
