Barcelona youngster to miss 4 weeks through injury | OneFootball

An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Guille Fernández as the player in question.

Youngster Guille is of course a regular in the first-team setup at Barcelona.

After impressing in pre-season over the summer, the 17-year-old has since been called up to first-team training on a number of occasions, too.

In fact, just this past weekend, Hansi Flick planned to draft Guille into his matchday squad to face Valencia.

At the last minute, however, the starlet suffered an injury setback.

Guille was hauled off at half-time in Barca Atlétic’s defeat at the hands of Andratx late last week.

At first, as much was thought to have been pre-planned, ahead of being called up for senior duties once more.

It has since been revealed, however, that Guille picked up an ankle problem.

And as per a report from Sport:

‘Pending tests, Sport has learned that the midfielder will be out for about four weeks with that ankle.’
