According to Bild, concern within the Bayern hierarchy is mounting over Alphonso Davies’ injury record, and the club could look to bring in a natural left-back as cover in the summer.
The Canada international missed most of the first half of the season with an ACL injury and has since struggled to regain full fitness, with repeated setbacks disrupting his rhythm.
He only just returned from the sidelines before suffering another setback, a hamstring problem that is expected to keep him out until after the international break.
In his absence, left-back duties have largely been shared by Josip Stanišić and Konrad Laimer, both right-footed, while left-footed centre-back Hiroki Itō has also filled in.
Bayern are in a strong negotiating position after Davies signed a contract extension until 2030 just over a year ago.
Manchester United had shown interest before that extension. Should they return with a lucrative offer, Bayern could consider a sale. United are still monitoring Davies, though there have been no recent enquiries.
