Bayern Munich are keen to secure the services of Michael Olise beyond the end of his current deal in 2029, according to Sport Bild (h/t GGFN).

Signed from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024, Olise hit the ground running with 17 goals and 18 assists across all competitions. This saw him win the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award.

Picking up where he left off, the Frenchman has continued to deliver the goods this term, moving up to 16 goals and 18 assists following his stellar display en route to Bayern’s demolition of RB Leipzig on Saturday.

Despite his current deal not expiring for another three-and-a-half years, Bayern want to fend off any interest in their marquee winger by handing him a fresh contract until 2031.

Several European heavyweights have been linked with Olise over the last 18 months, and while there is no indication that the Frenchman is eyeing a move away from his current employers, Bayern are not taking any chances.

The Bundesliga giants view Olise as a key component in their long-term plans and unsurprisingly so given his performances since moving to the Allianz Arena.

As Bayern plot a contract extension for Olise, the Bavarians are also on the verge of renewing Serge Gnabry’s deal after a fine start to the season.

Currently on a run of five wins on the bouncee, Vincent Kompany’s side will set out to confirm their place in the top eight of the UCL league phase against Union Saint-Gilloise later today.
