Bayern Munich have reached a verbal agreement with PSV Eindhoven for Ismael Saibari on a five-year deal, according to Foot Mercato.
The Bavarians have been in the market for a new left winger. They were interested in Antony Gordon, but he opted to join Barcelona.
They pivoted their attention to Saibari, who enjoyed a brilliant campaign in the Eredivisie last season.
The Bundesliga defending champions are also expected to complete a deal for German left-back Nathaniel Brown in the coming days.
Saibari enjoyed his best season with PSV last term, playing a vital role in their third consecutive league triumph.
He bagged 15 goals and eight assists in 27 appearances, earning the Player of the Year award.
The Moroccan is very direct. He ranked first for total shots and third for shots on target per game last season.
Saibari’s dribbling skills allow him to get into dangerous positions to either create a shooting position or find a teammate.
His versatility also adds to his appeal, as he can be deployed anywhere along the frontline and play as an attacking midfielder or in central midfield.
However, Saibari would find it difficult to break into the starting line-up, with Michael Olise, Luis Diaz and Harry Kane the preferred attacking trio at Bayern.
