Bayern Munich remain interested in Christopher Nkunku | OneFootball

With Leroy Sané’s contract expiring and Serge Gnabry entering the final year of his contract, Bayern Munich retain interest in Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, according to Ben Jacobs.

The Frenchman is no stranger to the Bundesliga having played for RB Leipzig between 2019 and 2023, scoring 70 goals and providing 55 assists in 172 games across all competitions before his €60m move to Chelsea with the 27-year-old expected to depart the club this summer.

Nkunku’s time at Chelsea has been marred by injuries, although the France international only missed six games last season which allowed the attacker to score three goals and create two in 27 Premier League games last season across 910 minutes.

Bayern Munich did show interest in Nkunku in January and a potential swap deal with Mathys Tel involves had been discussed – it even got to the point where the Chelsea forward had reached a full agreement over personal terms with the Bundesliga side.
