Benfica academy forward Diana Costa out for the season after foot fracture | OneFootball

The club said in a statement that forward Diana Costa, 19, has fractured the fifth metatarsal in her left foot and will miss the rest of the season.

The injury was sustained on international duty with Portugal Under-23s in a recent match against Italy.

She will undergo surgery, with her recovery to be managed by Benfica's medical department.

Currently on loan at Racing Power, she was also named in a Champions League squad list earlier this season.

She has made 14 official appearances across the first team and the secondary side, scoring seven goals in 803 minutes.
