Benfica extend Silvestre Ferreira’s futsal deal to 2029 after 10-goal season | OneFootball

Benfica have extended Silvestre Ferreira’s futsal contract to 2029, keeping the 26-year-old winger at the club he has served for 13 years. He has 10 goals this season and was part of last season’s national title winners.

Ferreira joined the academy in 2013/14 at under-15 level, progressing through under-17 and under-19 before 2018. He won the under-17 district championship and was a two-time under-19 national champion.

In the senior side he has lifted two national titles, in 2018/19 and 2024/25, plus the Taça de Portugal in 2022/23. His haul also includes Taça da Liga wins in 2018/19 and 2025/26.

“It is a pride to continue at a club that has given me practically everything. Benfica give us all the conditions to do our job. I am immensely proud to represent this club and this shirt,” he told BTV.

“I have been here for some time. I always wanted to be an example for the kids in the academy. I think I am perhaps one of the few who did almost the entire pathway through to Benfica’s first team.”

“There are many emotions, but it all comes back to pride. Anyone at Benfica has double the responsibility. This is a big club and we must carry those responsibilities.”
