Benfica target Filip Kostic is set to finish the season as a free agent.

According to Glorioso 1904, Juventus do not intend to renew the 33-year-old Serbian's contract, leaving him free to seek a new club.

He has been linked with Benfica in recent months, but no deal materialised. Benfica promoted José Neto to the first team. They also have Sidny Lopes Cabral, recently signed from Estrela da Amadora, which has hindered the transfer.

With Kostic likely to be available without a fee, several clubs could move to secure his services. That prospect places him at the centre of the summer market, with the coming months set to define his next step.

He recently faced Benfica on the seventh matchday of the Champions League league phase, coming on in the closing minutes of Luciano Spalletti’s side’s 2-0 win.

In 2025/26, Kostic, valued at 3.5 million euros, has made 22 appearances, 17 in Serie A and five in the Champions League. He has played 525 minutes, scoring three goals with one assist.
