With the season nearing its end, Benfica have begun shaping next year’s squad for José Mourinho, and several players could be allowed to leave.

According to Record, the board is considering adjustments after some recent recruits failed to meet expectations. The review places Georgiy Sudakov, Franjo Ivanovic, Manu Silva, Bruma and Sidny Lopes Cabral among the main names under consideration for exits.

Georgiy Sudakov, signed from Shakhtar, has yet to fully convince the coaching staff. Valued at 27 million euros, he has struggled to adapt and has been the team’s most substituted player, leaving matches 22 times this season.

Franjo Ivanovic cost 22.8 million euros and has not secured an undisputed starting place. Despite some positive recent displays, the Croatian forward has mostly been a secondary option, so a summer departure remains possible.

Manu Silva, Bruma and Sidny Lopes Cabral are also being assessed. The midfielder has had very limited minutes, Bruma’s season has been disrupted by injuries, and the Cape Verdean winger has lost ground since arriving in the winter window, leaving all three with uncertain futures at the club.
