The fixture kicked off at 18:00 on 03/10/2026 at Groupama Stadium in Décines-Charpieu.

In the opening exchanges, Giráldez's side kept the ball, and their pressing after losing it helped them to 57% possession.

Benyahia broke the deadlock from 25 metres, curling a free-kick into the right side-netting.
