The Blues investor has been going viral for developments away from St. Andrew's

Birmingham City's recent fortunes under the ownership of Knighthead Capital Management have been well-documented, not just within the sphere of English football but worldwide.

Indeed, the likes of Tom Wagner have set out some extremely lofty future targets for Blues to reach as a club as they look to become one of the more successful outfits in the country over time.

That is despite the fact they find themselves in the Championship at present, having bounced back from a chaotic relegation in Knighthead's first season in the St. Andrew's boardroom two years ago with a record-breaking campaign in League One.

With Wagner continuing to back manager Chris Davies in the transfer market, there has been plenty of spotlight cast on how Blues have performed on the pitch given the pre-season expectations which many set out, as well as the hefty investment ploughed into the playing squad.

Whilst Wagner has taken a backseat of late as he recovers from a stroke, sections of Bluenoses are urging Knighthead to make their latest managerial change, with Davies certainly coming under intense scrutiny as the club's play-off hopes looked to have been effectively ended heading into the international break.

Although such sack talk has dominated discourse amongst supporters in recent days, it is fair to say that the club's Advisory Board president and iconic NFL quarterback, Tom Brady, has been making headlines for very different reasons.

Given his aforementioned status in the world of American sports, it is fair to say that Brady has been, and continues to be involved in a multitude of projects and events since announcing his NFL retirement in February 2023.

Just months later, he became part of the Knighthead board in the West Midlands, and has been spotted at several high-profile fixtures which Blues have played in since, as well as being at the front and centre of the club's Amazon Prime docuseries which aired last August.

It is believed that the 48-year-old owns approximately 3.3 percent of Birmingham at this moment in time, but that hasn't stopped him from going viral Stateside yet again, this time through a well-documented feud with influencer and wrestler, Logan Paul.

The duo certainly haven't seen eye-to-eye with each other in recent weeks, with Brady firing a dig Paul's way last month ahead of a 'flag football' match involving them, which recently took place in Saudi Arabia.

The non-contact version of NFL was played out in the Middle East last weekend, with the pair, yet again, exchanging words with each other, this time on the field.

Given Paul's involvement in the wrestling world, it has now been claimed that negotiations are underway for Brady to potentially take part in WrestleMania 42, which will take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, on April 19th.

Ironically, this event would also be close to Brady's heart, as he holds a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, who play their home matches at the Allegiant.

Wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer, has also spoken on the potential for Brady's involvement in WrestleMania 42, saying: "From what I have been told, they are in negotiations for Tom Brady. But there’s absolutely not a deal at this point. So it could happen, obviously Logan Paul and Tom Brady are working, everyone knows they’re working the angle. I think people have seen that coming in, but there could be something in some form at WrestleMania."

Tom Brady's potential WrestleMania 42 involvement has no real impact on Birmingham City

Whilst the event could bring some form of Blues-themed publicity across the Atlantic, the obvious truth is Brady's potential involvement in WrestleMania 42 has no implications on the club's season as a whole.

Davies' side will return to action themselves on Good Friday against Ipswich Town at Portman Road, in what is the first of seven matches left this Championship season.

The weekend before WrestleMania, it would be no surprise to see Brady back in the Second City for the high-profile home fixture with Wrexham, given the Red Dragons' own stature in the US through the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
