Albion’s allocation for next month’s Black Country derby at Wolves has sold out. According to ExpressAndStar.com, tickets went on sale this week and the away end is now fully taken.

James Morrison’s side will be backed by 2,550 fans in the lower tier of the Steve Bull Stand at Molineux on Sunday September 20, for a lunchtime kick-off.

Tickets were released to away members on Monday, then in phases to loyalty points holders. The club confirmed the sell-out on Friday morning, adding they were not surprised.

It will be the first league Black Country derby in front of supporters since the 2011/12 Premier League season. The Baggies won 5-1 at Molineux in 2012, Peter Odemwingie scoring a hat-trick. The clubs also met during the behind-closed-doors 2020/21 top-flight campaign.

Wolves won the only public meeting since then, an FA Cup tie at The Hawthorns in January 2024 that was marred by crowd trouble.

There had been talk the league trip could be a bubble fixture with extra travel restrictions, but no such guidance accompanied Albion’s sales details this week. The return is scheduled for the weekend of February 20 at The Hawthorns.
