Blesa converts VAR penalty as Rio Ave climb to 10th | OneFootball

Rio Ave beat Estoril 2-1 on Sunday to climb from 14th to 10th in Liga Portugal.

In the 16th minute, Francisco Ferreira headed Estoril in front from Jordan William Holsgrove's set-piece cross.

Jakub Brabec levelled with a header from Diogo Bezerra's delivery (54.).

A handball by Yanis Begraoui led to a penalty (71.). VAR confirmed the spot kick and Jalen Blesa converted from the spot (74.).

Ennio Van der Gouw made important saves to deny Rafik Guitane and Begraoui as Rio Ave held on. Joel Robles made five saves for Estoril.

Rio Ave registered eight shots on target from 13 attempts. Estoril had 55.1% possession and 10 corners.
