Boca have removed the attendance filter for Activos and Interior members at La Bombonera, a change that takes effect for the visit of Lanús on Friday 28 August in the Torneo Clausura. The club said in a statement that members will now be able to reserve a place for each match without meeting a prior attendance percentage.
Previously, access to certain games depended on the share of fixtures previously attended, a system that sparked debate among socios. Under the new rules, that requirement has been scrapped. Activos and Interior members must log into Boca Socios and confirm attendance within a club-defined window notified by email.
Reservations will remain open until the allocated capacity is reached, so removing the filter does not guarantee entry. The process mirrors Boca’s international fixtures, members reserve online then enter with their carnet, and there will be no extra charge.
There are also changes for season-ticket holders. From the start of the new rules, each abonado must confirm attendance up to one day before kick-off. If not attending, they can release their seat via Abono Solidario or authorise another socio to use it.
Holders can create a group of up to six authorised socios from any category, editable once per year except in club-defined special cases. Both the holder and the authorised member will enter using their own carnet.
Boca have also reduced the cost of Abono Solidario to encourage seat release, aiming to cut empty spots and widen access given the club’s vast membership and limited capacity. The new terms are set out in the Reglamento de Abonados approved by the board and must be accepted via the website or official app.
