Ismael Saibari’s move to FC Bayern is practically a done deal. Further details regarding the overall deal between the Munich club and PSV Eindhoven have now emerged.

FC Bayern has prevailed in the race to sign Ismael Saibari and is on the verge of officially announcing its next summer transfer. After it was recently reported that the Munich club had reached an agreement with PSV Eindhoven regarding the transfer of the Moroccan international, further details of the deal are now available.

As reported by the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the German record champions will pay a fixed transfer fee of 50 million euros for the attacking player. In addition, there are another five million euros in bonus payments, which, according to the report, are said to be relatively easy to achieve.

This confirms the recently reported total sum of up to 55 million euros. Negotiations between the two clubs had dragged on for several weeks before a final agreement was reached.

Another detail of the contract is also noteworthy. According to the terms, PSV Eindhoven secured a share of any potential future transfer fee should the player be sold on. The Dutch club could thus benefit financially in the future should Saibari leave FC Bayern at some point.

Long-term contract for Saibari until 2031

Clarity has also been reached regarding the personal terms of the contract. According to De Telegraaf, Saibari will receive a long-term contract in Munich running through the summer of 2031. The 25-year-old is thus committing to the German champions for five years.

The final formalities are expected to be completed in the coming days. As previously reported, the medical examination is scheduled to take place in the U.S. Saibari is currently with Morocco at the World Cup and is expected to undergo the medical check-up on-site.

Bayern’s team doctor, Dr. Jochen Hahne, could play an important role in this process. The physician is currently also in the U.S., where he is treating the German national team.

From a sporting perspective, with Saibari, Vincent Kompany is acquiring a player he is said to have favored internally for months. The versatile attacking player can be deployed both in central midfield and in several attacking positions and is expected to boost creativity and flexibility in Bayern’s play.

Most recently, Saibari once again impressively demonstrated his value at the World Cup. In Morocco’s surprising 1-1 draw against Brazil, he scored the opening goal and was one of the most prominent players on the field.

With an agreement reached on the transfer fee, bonus payments, contract length, and other clauses, all that remains is official confirmation.
