While he recently informed the club’s management that he did not wish to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, Bradley Barcola (23) could well use the summer transfer window to embark on a new chapter in his young career.

And should he leave the capital club, a move to Liverpool is reportedly the French winger’s preferred option at present. The prospect is an enticing one for the Reds, who are said to have already begun talks with the Parisian management.

However, according to reports from Onze Mondial, Barcola’s arrival is unlikely to be possible without Cody Gakpo (27) first leaving Anfield. Whilst the Dutchman has recently been linked with a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur, his recent contract extension until 2030 is an important factor to bear in mind.

Equally significant is the presence in Andoni Iraola’s squad of the young English prospect Rio Ngumoha (17), on whom Liverpool’s management intend to rely heavily in the coming season. Be that as it may, the Reds are going to have to make some decisions. The question is, what will they be?
