Brighton sign Pascal Struijk from Leeds | OneFootball

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk in a deal worth around £20m, with the Dutch-born centre-back committing to a five-year contract at the Amex Stadium.

The 26-year-old leaves Elland Road after a significant spell in Yorkshire, where he made 196 appearances for the Whites following his rise from the club’s Under-23 side after joining from Ajax in 2018.

His most recent campaign included 34 Premier League appearances as Leeds battled in the top flight.

Struijk had been offered improved terms to remain at Leeds, but ultimately chose a new challenge on the south coast as Brighton moved to strengthen their defensive options following the sale of Jan Paul van Hecke to Tottenham earlier in the window.
