Brighton ‘to explore’ Ahanor signing from Atalanta | OneFootball

According to Sky Sport in Italy, Brighton have expressed interest in signing Atalanta’s Italy Under-21 defender Honest Ahanor this summer.

Club representatives were in Milan for meetings in recent days, during which Ahanor’s name was discussed. No formal negotiations have begun, and any move would not be straightforward.

Atalanta are not under pressure to sell, with the report adding they are set to sell Marco Palestra to Chelsea in a €60m package and Ederson to Manchester United for €45m.

Ahanor joined Atalanta from Genoa last summer for €20m at the age of 17. He is under contract until the summer of 2028.

He made 35 appearances in 2025-26, including 22 in Serie A and nine in the Champions League.
