Bruno Genesio ‘could leave’ Lille despite Champions League push | OneFootball

L’Équipe reports that Bruno Genesio could be moving closer to leaving Lille despite the club’s strong position in the Champions League race.

Lille climbed back onto the podium after a 1-0 win at Monaco, and could seal direct qualification on the final day.

Genesio’s contract expires in June, and at this stage he appears closer to a departure than an extension. Discussions could follow swiftly after the season to settle his future.

Speaking to La Voix du Nord, the former Lyon manager said there had been no contract extension at Lille. He added there was talk around him and that he had received approaches, as with players.

La Provence adds that Brest sporting director Grégory Lorenzi would consider a French coach accustomed to Ligue 1 to succeed Habib Beye at Olympique de Marseille, citing Stéphan and Genesio.
