Bruno Genesio officially appointed Olympique de Marseille head coach | OneFootball

Olympique de Marseille have appointed Bruno Genesio as head coach, the club said in a statement on Wednesday.

The 59-year-old replaces Habib Beye, whose departure was announced on Tuesday after only four months in charge.

The move was framed as support for the club's project and an ambition to build a side able to establish itself among French and European leaders.

Genesio was attracted by the challenge and views OM as a unique club with an exceptional history, a strong identity and widely recognised supporter passion.

He is tasked with launching a transformation and rebuild at Marseille.

This is his fourth Ligue 1 job after Lyon from 2015 to 2019, Rennes from 2021 to 2023 and Lille from 2024 to 2026. He has just left Lille after two promising seasons.
