Chema Andres was one of La Fabrica’s highest-rated young midfield talents, but Real Madrid opted to let the player go last summer as they could not guarantee him an immediate spot in the first team.
With the midfield already extremely competitive for starting spots, there was no room for the young prodigy and he eventually left for the Bundesliga where he signed for VfB Stuttgart.
Since joining the club in Germany, the player has excelled on the field and has become a regular starter for the team. He has also opened his tally in terms of goals and assists.
As relayed in a recent report by BILD (h/t AS), Chema’s good performances have not gone unnoticed by clubs in the Bundesliga and they are now monitoring Real Madrid’s academy with more vigour.
German scouts are now keeping a close eye on La Fabrica and have identified four players to be on their radar as potential signings for German clubs next season.
The first name is Joan Martinez, the team’s young defender who is highly regarded and even in the first-team loop already.
He just returned from a long injury layoff and is expected to gradually be integrated into the first team, although there is clear interest in taking him away from the Spanish capital.
Jesus Fortea, the academy’s prodigal full-back, is also on German clubs’ radar. The teenager already had offers from UEFA Champions League participating clubs from Germany and Italy last summer but he turned them down after Xabi Alonso’s arrival.

Fran Gonzalez, the third player on the German radar, is Real Madrid’s big goalkeeping prospect who they see to be Thibaut Courtois’ long-term replacement.
He has already made his debut for the first team, and there is serious expectation from the club that he will go on to become one of the best in the business.
The final player being screened by German scouts is Victor Valdepenas, one of La Fabrica’s more versatile defensive options who can feature as both a centre-back and left-back.
Real Madrid even tied him down to the club until 2029 in his latest contract, reaffirming the long-term faith they place in him, even as Arsenal continue to be interested.
With several Bundesliga teams eyeing the aforementioned players, and possibly others in the academy as well, it remains to be seen what comes of the links.
A loan deal next summer, after all, would work out well for Real Madrid as well while also satisfying what the German clubs require.
