Burnley manager Scott Parker will be without four key players for Saturday’s clash against Newcastle United. First, midfielder Hannibal Mejbri begins a four-match suspension. A disciplinary panel found him guilty of spitting at Leeds United fans in October.

Furthermore, the team misses Axel Tuanzebe. An injury against Brentford rules him out for a few weeks. Unfortunately, this casts doubt on his AFCON participation.

The continued absence of Jordan Beyer further depletes the defence. He suffered a recovery setback. Consequently, he likely returns only after the end of 2025. Additionally, Zeki Amdouni and Connor Roberts remain sidelined with knee injuries.

In midfield, Josh Cullen and Florentino Luís expect to retain their places. However, Parker considers adding Lesley Ugochukwu to the engine room for extra solidity.
