Hakan Calhanoglu has sustained a new muscle injury for Inter.

Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta suggest he could miss the Coppa Italia final against Lazio on 13 May.

He was an unused substitute in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Torino.

On Monday, medical examinations at the Humanitas Clinical Institute in Rozzano revealed a strain in the left soleus. His condition will be assessed in the coming days.

The midfielder has struggled with fitness in the second half of the campaign yet has 12 goals and seven assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

The 32-year-old has missed 13 matches through injury this season. Subsequent checks have pointed to a more concerning situation.
