Carsley names England U21 squad for final qualifiers | OneFootball

Lee Carsley has selected his England Under-21 squad for the final three UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Kazakhstan, Slovakia and the Republic of Ireland.

The Young Lions are aiming to secure qualification for next summer’s finals in Albania and Serbia, where they will look to retain a title they have won twice in succession.

Carsley’s side return to action for the first time since March with two home fixtures: Kazakhstan at Molineux on Friday 25 September (7.30pm) and Slovakia at Stoke City on Friday 2 October (7.45pm). They then travel to Cork to face the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday 6 October (6pm).

England sit top of their group with six wins from seven games and could confirm their place in the finals after the Slovakia encounter.

Carsley has retained the majority of the squad that has driven their strong campaign, while handing first Under-21 call-ups to Stephen Mfuni, Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, Amario Cozier-Duberry and Will Lankshear.
