Real Madrid interest in Enzo Fernandez is getting serious, and it’s even got to the point where prices are being discussed.

The Chelsea media had some big news last night when Ben Jacobs dropped his exclusive claiming that Enzo Fernandez wants to leave (which was well know), but also adding that Chelsea were asking for £120m for their star man.

Kieran Gill’s piece for the Daily Mail added more detail:

“Chelsea insiders have scoffed at £70m valuations appearing abroad,” Gill adds.

To be fair, we doubt that those valuations are coming from anyone at Real Madrid or PSG. They seem more to come from the Spanish press, who are trying to convince themselves (and their readers) that a deal is even possible.

The fact they’re having to make such outrageous claims to make the deal feasible shows how unlikely it still is right now.

Enzo future more uncertain than ever after Chelsea reports

We don’t think it would actually take £120m to buy him from Chelsea. Probably £100m with some bonuses would do the trick. But it’s a starting point that show the Blues aren’t messing around.

They either want Madrid to get a deal done or move on, not keep unsettling a key player for the whole summer.

Chelsea want to sort out Enzo’s future as quickly as possible so that new manager Xabi Alonso can get to work, which makes sense.

Enzo’s asking price is set at £120m according to the same report – and all of this will come down to whether Real Madrid or any other team are willing to pay something close to that.
