Chelsea are back in pre-season action on Wednesday as they face Serie A side Juventus in Hong Kong.

As part of the Hong Kong Football Festival, Chelsea play their first game in Asia after two games in Sydney, Australia.

Xabi Alonso's side claimed victory over Western Sydney Wanderers, but lost narrowly to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday to end their time in New South Wales on a disappointing note.

Pre-season is starting to ramp up for the Blues as the quality of opponents increase. Juventus await on Wednesday, and AC Milan await in Indonesia on Saturday.

Understandably, Alonso insists Chelsea are not where they want to be yet ahead of the new season, and another tough test will give the Blues a good opportunity to see the progress they are making.

Chelsea could welcome back Robert Sanchez after his absence against Spurs. He missed out due to a minor problem, but Alonso confirmed the Spaniard is 'much better'.

Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson are set for their first pre-season minutes, while new signing Danny Welbeck and Mykhailo Mudryk are in contention to feature in Hong Kong.

Mike Penders, Gabriel Slonina, Pedro Neto and Geovany Quenda, who has overcome a minor knock, have also joined up with the Chelsea squad. Whether they will play against Juventus remains unclear, or whether they will be saved for AC Milan.

Estevao Willian and Jamie Gittens linked up to score Chelsea's only goal against Spurs. Both will be itching to impress as the stakes increase to get into Alonso's starting side for the opening day of the season against Fulham on August 24.

Joao Pedro blanked against Spurs after a hat-trick in the Western Sydney Wanderers win. He will be hoping Juventus's goalkeeper isn't in the kind of form Antonin Kinsky showed for Spurs, who produced several fine saves to deny him the chance to add to his pre-season tally.

It's suggested that many of Chelsea's academy players have departed after the arrivals of several first-team players, so less will be seen in action from now on during the tour.

Levi Colwill and Cole Palmer are also doubts after their lack of involvement with the rest of the Chelsea team during Tuesday's training.
