Chelsea’s transfer planning meant one player is now stuck at the club but he wanted out this summer and was unable to go.
The Blues had a very busy transfer window in the end and a very dramatic last few days. There was a few players looking to get moves. Some got them, some did not get them and are now stuck in limbo in Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ which sounds like a very lonely existence.
And then there was the drama with Nicolas Jackson’s late loan move to Bayern Munich and then the fallout that came after it. It’s been suggested that Jackson has to start 40 games for Bayern this season in order for them to have to buy him on a permanent deal – although Jackson’s rep has seemingly said this is not true. Ah, the dramas….

Blues defender Axel Disasi could not get a move away this summer despite wanting out and the club wanting him out. But why not?
Foot Mercato explain that Disasi could have rejoined Monaco, excited to come back and spoke with the ASM management, even to the point of finding a near-agreement.
But Chelsea had reached their loan quota and the operation could not succeed. Disasi eventually stayed at Chelsea.
We’ve actually heard that Axel Disasi wants to prove his worth now to Enzo Maresca and earn a spot back in the first team squad. But I see that as being highly unlikely and not happening and I can only see him staying in the bomb squad and then being sold or loaned out in January. Whilst he is not playing though, his value will be decreasing vastly.
