Chivas U-17 Are Champions in Colombia! | OneFootball

Chivas U-17 proudly represented both La Cantera Rojiblanca and Mexican soccer in South America, claiming the Copa Bronce title at La Copa Imposible 2026 in Medellín, Colombia, after defeating Fortaleza FC 1-0 on Saturday at Atanasio Girardot Stadium.

After battling through a demanding group stage and knocking out Independiente Medellín and the Antioquia Select Team in the knockout rounds, El Rebaño advanced to the Grand Final. There, Hendrick Castañeda stepped up just before halftime and scored the championship-winning goal with a clinical left-footed strike across goal. The finish gave Chivas the edge and allowed the team to manage the match with composure and intelligence.

Chivas U-17 capped off an outstanding semester in style. In addition to lifting this international trophy, the team enjoyed a remarkable Clausura 2026 campaign, finishing atop the standings with 41 points after winning 13 of its 16 matches.
