This season loomed as a breakout season for Oscar Bobb. The hope was that after a fractured leg ruined his 24/25 season that he could make up for lost time this season. Unfortunately, besides showing flashes of his quality, Oscar Bobb hasn’t made the impression he would’ve liked this season for Manchester City. Recently, Bobb has been on the periphery the City first-team as Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, Tijjani Reijnders and Phil Foden have become Pep Guardiola’s preferred creative players. A new report indicates that there is a chance that Bobb could leave City next month. Perhaps that is the best move for Bobb so he can play on a regular basis.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that there is a chance that Oscar Bobb could leave Manchester City next month. Furthermore, Romano reports that if City sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo Bobb will seriously consider leaving City for more opportunities elsewhere. Lastly, Romano reports that a host of clubs including Borussia Dortmund have made approaches to Oscar Bobb in recent weeks.

Irrespective of whether or not Manchester City signs Antoine Semenyo, looking at Oscar Bobb as a player perhaps a move away from the Etihad is in his best interests. Bobb has made 15 appearances for City this season but he has failed to make a big impact this season. There have been moments of quality shown by Bobb, but at 22 years of age he needs to be doing more. Injury has conspired against Bobb last season, and he also suffered a hamstring injury against Brentford in Manchester City’s 2-nil Carabao Cup quarter-final tie win. But when available Bobb hasn’t had the impact he would’ve liked.
Unfortunately for Bobb he doesn’t have the opportunity to work his way back into contention at City. With Rayan Cherki, Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku and even Tijjani Reijnders ahead of him in the pecking order, Bobb cannot get the opportunity to play regularly. A move in January, whether or not that’s a loan move or a permanent move may allow him the chance to play regularly and flourish as a player. Perhaps that is the best move for Bobb, especially if Antoine Semenyo does indeed sign for City.
Oscar Bobb’s future is now a story to watch for during next month’s transfer window. The young winger could leave Manchester City and perhaps that is the move he needs to play regularly and grow further as a player. Bobb’s talent and potential aren’t in question but circumstances do seem to be against him at Manchester City.
