City Ground to host Lionesses’ Iceland qualifier in March | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest’s City Ground will host England Women’s World Cup qualifier against Iceland on Saturday, seven March, with a 12.30pm kick-off.

The club said tickets would be available to My England Football members from 22-28 January, before a general sale on Thursday 29 January.

The City Ground has also been proposed among venues in the Home Nations’ joint bid to stage the 2035 Women’s World Cup, with further details to be confirmed in due course.

It will be England Women’s first appearance at the stadium in 32 years.

Their qualifying campaign for the World Cup in Brazil begins against Ukraine on March three, with the Iceland match their first home qualifier.
