Clément Turpin will referee Paraguay v Australia on Thursday in Group D, his second assignment of the 2026 World Cup. L'Équipe reports that the French official has been appointed as the match referee.

The fixture forms part of the third round of the group stage. It is a decisive meeting, with both teams on three points after two matches.

Turpin’s first game at this tournament was England’s 4-2 win over Croatia in Group L.

This is his third World Cup after 2018 and 2022. Paraguay v Australia will be the seventh World Cup match of his career.

He will be assisted by Nicolas Danos and Benjamin Pagès, while Jamaican Oshane Nation will act as fourth official.
