Real Madrid were left frustrated after Kylian Mbappe played almost the entire match for France against Azerbaijan despite joining the national team with pre existing ankle problem.

Marca: "Pain Worse Than Before"

According to MARCA, Mbappe left the France camp due to "the same injury he'd when he arrived" sustained during Real Madrid’s clash with Villarreal in La Liga.

The report added that his condition "may have worsened" as he now feels "more pain than when he left Madrid to join France".

No Agreement on Playing Time

The Spanish outlet revealed that Mbappe barely trained during the week but still started the match.

"There was no clear agreement between Real Madrid & France regarding his minutes, It’s surprising that he played almost the entire match, given that the club had already announced his ankle issue before his departure" the report said.

Real Madrid Face Double Concern

Mbappe’s situation mirrors that of Franco Mastantuno who also traveled to join Argentina despite suffering muscle strain. The Argentine federation later confirmed he would miss their friendly against Venezuela.

Both player will return to Madrid earlier than expected for medical tests, just 2 week before Real Madrid face Barcelona in El Clasico.
