Another report has claimed that AC Milan have made Torino star Samuele Ricci their big target ahead of the next summer transfer window.
Last night, a report from Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that the Milan management have set their sights on Ricci and that they are working ahead of time to try and beat the competition and land him ahead of 2025-26.
According to Calciomercato.com, the technical director Geoffrey Moncada has already begun operations to try to beat the rivals to his signature. The belief is that Ricci ‘perfectly represents’ the type of player that the club are looking for, as a director of the midfield.
The Italy international has been present in Milan’s scouting database for years now, since he was at Empoli in fact, and he was even a target last summer when Moncada had tested the waters with Torino before turning back to Youssouf Fofana.
The growth shown in this first part of the season has convinced the Rossoneri to work with more determination and concreteness on a profile appreciated by everyone. A January deal, though, appears to be off the table.
Milan have decided internally that they want to try and secure Ricci for next season, having held the first contacts with his agents. The main obstacles are the competition from the Premier League, and the asking price of no less than €30m that will be set by Urbano Cairo.
