West Ham United could face fresh competition in their pursuit of Daniel Job, with Feyenoord’s chief scout speaking with the youngster in what is described as a ‘concrete signal’ of the Dutch giants’ interest in him.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with Norwegian second-tier outfit Kongsvinger this season, putting himself firmly on the radar across Europe.

The left winger has struck seven times and supplied seven assists across 18 appearances, showing real potential in the process.

The Hammers recognised Job’s potential and are keen to bring him to the London Stadium, where he could continue his development through Championship football.

There have been suggestions that the east London outfit have even submitted a bid for the youngster.

An agreement for the Nigerian is yet to materialise, however, while FC Basel and Lecce are also believed to be in the mix to land Job.

Now Feyenoord have emerged as further suitors for Job, with the Dutch giants potentially joining the growing competition for his signature.

According to Norwegian daily Glamdalen (via Dutch outlet FR12.nl), Job spoke with Micha Jansen, Feyenoord’s chief scout, following Friday’s training session.

The Nigerian being spotted alongside the Rotterdam outfit’s chief scout has been described as a ‘concrete signal’ that the attacker could feature on Feyenoord’s shortlist.

Whether Feyenoord now choose to formalise their interest with a move remains unclear, although the emergence of more suitors could force West Ham to navigate a more competitive pursuit.

Should the Dutch outfit turn their interest into something more substantial, they could tempt Job with the prospect of Champions League football, an experience the winger has yet to enjoy, potentially giving them a significant advantage in the race.

Whether the east London outfit can fend off the mounting interest and secure Job should become clearer in the coming days.
