Back in São Paulo after Sunday’s defeat to Flamengo, Corinthians began preparing for Wednesday’s Conmebol Libertadores quarter-final against Estudiantes at CT Joaquim Grava.

With a reserve side used against Flamengo, almost all regular starters trained. Memphis Depay, Gustavo Henrique and Gabriel Paulista were involved after skipping the trip to Rio de Janeiro to treat muscle pain.

Fernando Diniz oversaw crossing and finishing exercises and a 10 against 10 tactical session.

The probable XI to face the Argentines has Hugo Souza in goal, a back four of Matheuzinho, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique and Matheus Bidu, a midfield of Allan, André Carrillo, Breno Bidon and Rodrigo Garro, with Kaio César alongside Memphis Depay in attack.

In La Plata, Corinthians drew 1-1 with Estudiantes. To reach the semi-final they need a home win, and if it is level again the tie will be decided on penalties.

The squad have another training session at CT Joaquim Grava on Tuesday afternoon.
