According to Meu Timao, Corinthians are unlikely to bring back Wesley this window, with Cruzeiro improving their terms and moving ahead amid FIFA and CBF registration bans.

The 21-year-old was offered to Corinthians by his representatives after nearing a deal with Cruzeiro, but initial demands from his camp exceeded what the club considered viable, despite the player wanting a return to Parque São Jorge.

Corinthians had arranged for Al-Nassr, who hold Wesley’s rights, to pay most of his wages in a loan, yet the current registration prohibition has halted talks.

Three transfer bans remain in place, two imposed by FIFA and one by the CBF, totalling about R$ 21.9 million that must be cleared.

The latest ban was registered on 21 July over an estimated R$ 6.2 million due from the signing of midfielder Charles, and another FIFA block arrived on 21 May linked to José Martínez.

The CBF action on the 18th stems from roughly R$ eight million overdue on the fifth instalment of a settlement at the CNRD.

An academy graduate, Wesley debuted for the first team in 2023, making 85 appearances and scoring seven goals before a move to Al-Nassr in August 2024 for around 20 million dollars plus five million in add-ons.

He has played 40 games with five goals and four assists there, winning the 2025/26 Saudi League, and spent early 2026 on loan at Real Sociedad, featuring five times in a squad that won the Copa del Rey before the option was declined.
