A group of Corinthians members and councillors has filed for the impeachment and precautionary suspension of president Osmar Stabile, alleging irregular and reckless management. The petition was lodged with the leadership of the Conselho Deliberativo. Signatories include councillors, members and former directors.

According to UOL Esporte, the 15-page filing centres on a tax settlement with the PGFN that used Parque São Jorge as collateral. The document says the R$ 1.2 billion deal pledged the headquarters, valued at R$ 602.2 million, without required approvals.

It argues this burdens club assets and risks a court auction in any default. A recent comment attributed to Stabile suggested Parque São Jorge could be turned into blocks of flats if his tenure failed. The text cites Article 3, which demands council approval to pledge assets.

They also invoke LGE articles 66 and 67 on personal liability, and say Stabile ignored requests on stadium upkeep, REAG’s replacement at the Arena fund, and ticket distribution.

The filing recalls Stabile’s own remarks about ghost employees and notes headcount fell from 1,300 to 1,080. It says this points to resource misuse and possible fund diversion, warranting investigation.

It presses for overdue financial statements, noting the last figures online are from November 2025 despite legal deadlines in March and April. The board plans to review the 2024 accounts after R$ 294,000 in un-reconciled cash was found.

Acting president Leonardo Pantaleão will send the case to the Ethics and Discipline Committee, then call a council meeting and, if approved, a General Assembly within five days. If removed, second vice-president Armando Mendonça would take over, and Stabile said he was surprised and would comment only after seeing the full request.
