Corinthians completed a second training session during the FIFA international window on Thursday morning at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. Dorival Júnior had goalkeeper Felipe Longo back with the group as preparations ramped up for league, cup and continental duties.
According to Meu Timao, the 21-year-old has recovered from a strain in his right elbow and rejoined full training. He is expected to start against Fluminense at the Maracanã on Wednesday at 21:30 in the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, with Hugo Souza on Brazil duty.
Players began with activation work in the gym, then moved outside for a warm-up that included hurdle runs, coordination drills and a possession exercise.
The session progressed to attacking transitions in numerical superiority, alternating 3v2 and 4v3 scenarios. That was followed by build-up play focused on tactical concepts, then a small-sided game aimed at creating attacking patterns.
Several players remained absent as they continue medical treatment. Left-back Hugo Farias is recovering after meniscus surgery and forward Kaio César is working back from perifibrotic inflammation in his right hamstring.
Memphis Depay is undergoing treatment in the Netherlands for a right anterior thigh injury and André Carrilo is away with the Peru national team.
Corinthians train again on Friday morning as they prepare for a busy April, which includes Internacional, Palmeiras, Vitória and Vasco in the Brasileiro. The month also brings Barra-SC in the Copa do Brasil and the opening Libertadores fixtures against Platense, Independiente Santa Fé and Peñarol.
