Corinthians will be without midfielders Matheus Pereira and Zakaria Labyad for the Campeonato Paulista quarter-final against Portuguesa at Canindé. Pereira has muscular discomfort and Labyad is still building fitness, so neither has been included in the squad.
TNT Sports reported Labyad’s absence. Announced on Friday, he continues to work at the club to reach peak condition before making his debut.
Pereira, another arrival this season with 12 appearances, felt the back of his left thigh during the 1-0 win over Athletico-PR and was substituted. Ge.globo reports he has missed recent sessions, and he is out of Sunday’s game.
Other known absentees remain unavailable. Left-back Hugo is recovering from lateral meniscus surgery on his right knee. Forward Kaio César is in a physical transition after a right hamstring injury, and forward Yuri Alberto is rehabbing a left biceps femoris problem.
There is some relief as two players return. Midfielder Breno Bidon is back from a strain in the back of his right thigh, has been called up and should start.
Left-back Fabrizio Angileri is also available again after renewing his contract with the club.
